Where does Wood-Forged Craftworks source their lumber?

Whenever possible, we purchase all of our lumber from New Hampshire sawmills and lumber yards. This allows us to inspect and hand-select each piece of wood, and ensure quality and consistency in our domestic and exotic lumber supplies.

Are Wood-Forged products food safe?

Every wood product we make is finished with a food-safe wax and/or mineral oil to protect the wood, and highlight its natural beauty. Any products which are not intended for direct food contact may also be finished with Shellac. Shellac is also food-safe, but we choose not to use it on certain products because of the hard shell it forms.

How should I maintain my Wood-Forged products?

If the wood looks dry or dull, a quick coat of mineral oil will return the wood’s natural beauty and keep the wood in top condition.
